AboutAboutAboutAboutAbout

Much of the information in this site has been paraphrased from the 1959 book "What the Buddha Taught" by Walpola Rahula.

Buddhism has a long and rich history, and there is not one monolithic form that lays claim to being the only authorized Buddhism. There are many schools of Buddhist thought.

This website gives a very abbreviated overview of the very basics of what the Buddha presented in talks to those who have passed his words on down through the ages. These basics are common to all the schools of Buddhism.

I created this site in October, 2000 near the beginning of my journey into web design. I have updated this site about once a year since then, adding such things as this page, a "style sheet", the kaleidescopic background, more details about the Noble Eightfold Path, and a more user-friendly navigation system.

A link exchange pays for this site's DNS and hosting costs. It's a third-party feature and its contents are not specifically endorsed by me.
